The data you enter in the add-in is sent via a secure protocol to the service in the Microsoft cloud, a diagram is generated by the service, then the diagram is sent back to your computer. None of your data is saved in the Microsoft cloud. So you need to be connected to the internet to generate your diagram, but Microsoft doesn't save that data. If you end up saving the diagram in your OneDrive, that diagram is privately controlled by you.
